Help

Why is my video smaller than the size I picked?

The app aims a few percent under the limit so it always fits, and some videos simply need fewer bits. If it is much smaller, that is the encoder being efficient.

Why did the resolution go down?

A small size cannot carry a sharp 1080p picture for long videos. The app picks the largest resolution that still looks clean at that size, and lowers 60 fps to 30 fps before going under 720p. Trimming (Pro) keeps more detail.

It says the video is too long for this size

Even a small picture needs some bits per second. The message tells you the smallest size that would work; pick a larger preset, or trim the video.

Why 18 MB for email?

Email sends attachments as text, which makes them about a third larger. An 18 MB file fits a 25 MB attachment limit.

Which formats work?

MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG-TS and more go in; MP4 (H.264, or HEVC with Pro) comes out, which plays everywhere.

Discord changed its limit

Presets follow the limits of October 2026 and are updated with the app. With Pro you can type any size.
